What if you could learn from critical mistakes without the real-world consequences? I designed a "choose your own adventure" and Netflix style experience that immerses learners in realistic scenarios, letting them see the outcome of their choices.

The company faced a critical challenge common to global enterprises: Security training was viewed as a "compliance tax." Employees clicked through rapidly just to check a box. Despite high completion rates, internal phishing simulations showed that actual behavioral retention was low.
I applied my journalism background to investigate the disconnect. Partnered with the Global CISO and SOC at Equinix to identify high-risk behavioral trends. The problem wasn't a lack of knowledge; it was a lack of context.
I architected a branching narrative structure where every user choice triggered an immediate, realistic consequence. I designed the text-based storyboard, video scripts and prototypes for the leadership to review before I implemented the finalized version.
I structured the curriculum as a "Season" of episodes rather than a course. Each episode focused on a specific threat vector (e.g., "The CEO Fraud," "The Vendor Compromise") and used storytelling to hook the learner.
Risk Reduction
Post-training phishing simulations showed a marked decrease in click-rates on high-complexity lures.
Increase Completion Rate and Satisfaction Rate
Scaled completion to 97% across 20,000 users, validating program quality with a 4.5/5 satisfaction rating (n=2,000+) from comprehensive post-training analytics.
